Updates to the application implement an automated pipeline to help deploy and scale the application as needed. 

This automation powered by Cloud Build eliminated manual deployment steps and dramatically increased improved time to value. 

From Monolithic VMs to Serverless  

Instead of managing virtual machines, the application now runs on Cloud Run, —Google’s fully managed serverless container platform. For this application, it This means: 

  • No servers to patch or maintain 
  • Automatic scaling based on actual demand 
  • Pay only for what you use (no idle VM costs) 
  • Elimination of Zero infrastructure management overhead

From Self-Managed to Managed Database 

The database migrated from a VM-hosted database instance to the latest cloud database from Google: Automated backups and point-in-time recovery

We adopted a true DevOps pipeline to allow for quicker workflow with established milestones for improved deployment
